August was a busy month for MALS, and September is shaping up to be a little busier!
Our next regular meeting will be held on Monday, September 15th at the Farmer’s Market Cafe (315 N. McDonough Street). Attorney Ben Pool will speak to us on Criminal Law. Join us at 12 noon for a free 1/2 hour of CLE. All you have to pay for is your lunch!
On Saturday, September 20th, MALS will host the AALS Cram Day (from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) at the offices of Azar, Azar & Moore, LLC. Even if you aren’t sitting for a certification exam, take advantage of this opportunity to receive CLE credit. The cost is $10 for NALS members, and $15 for non-members. We will do lunch on our own. If you are interested, email me (mals@email.com) and I’ll send you the registration form. Note: The Birmingham and Mobile chapters will also host the AALS Cram Day on September 20th.
On Tuesday, September 30th, MALS will host a Lunch N’ Learn at the Farmer’s Market Cafe, at 12 noon. Sam Partridge will talk to us about Paralegals and the Unauthorized Practice of Law. Attorney CLE credit is not available for this seminar, but attorneys are always welcome to attend MALS events. Join us for an hour of FREE CLE… all you have to pay for is your lunch.
